This is Corona checking in for Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths. I was relinquished to the rescue because my owner was moving out of the country. I am a 17-year-old Paint gelding. I am a big boy! I stand around 17 HH.
My schedule was terribly busy this month. I kept having a lot of pain and stiffness in my legs. My human pals took notice right away and the vet come out to take x-rays right away. The diagnosis was navicular in both front. The vet recommends light work on more flat ground. The next thing was to see the farrier to get new shoes and pads. I felt instant relief after I got them. I am good to ride but require a confident intermediate. I have 2 friends I spend a lot of time with, and they think of me as the leader of our trio. Now that I’m feeling better, I can’t wait to find my forever home! Please call today to ask any questions about adopting! (708) 258-3959 My adoption fee is $1,000.
On another note, my buddy Mav was adopted! He was incredibly happy that after waiting one month shy of two years at Illinois Horse Rescue of Will County, he found his forever home!
Oh one last thing before I go…we have a new comer that has unfortunately had to be returned, to no fault of him. His name is RC. My human pals already had the farrier out for him because his feet were so long and had cracks in 3 of his 4 hooves. He is not ready for adoption at this time because he is going to get a couple weeks to just be a horse before he gets evaluated for adoption.
I know there is so much more that happened this month, but dinner bell is ringing, so I got to run! Check back next week to see what’s new with Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths.
