March Sad Madness

This is Samson checking in for Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths. March was a crazy busy and sad month.

God received a new angel baby today.

Our little Waylon took a turn for the worst one afternoon. It’s with a very heavy heart I will tell you his story of his last 24 hours.

It started out very normal. Waylon gets let out of his cage to play and eat. The weather was so nice he got to spend a few hours outside. At 3 PM everything changed! He started straining and throwing himself to the ground. For our horse friends out there, he looked like he was colicing. My human pals called the Vet and we thought he might have stones. But when they got to the Vet he started to poop and didn’t stop having the worst bloody diarrhea the whole time we were there. Still no pee! After 2 hours of our Vet examining, running labs, and gave him fluids. He gave us meds and went home. Waylon was very quiet all night. Good news no bloody diarrhea but Bad news no pee. At 4 AM he was jumping around the cage acting normal! YAY Waylon might be all right!! He even was drinking the bottle of electrolytes. My human pal, Jessica, called our Vet to see if they should stay on the same path. Jessica got off the phone with the vet and his little human, Penellope, notice he was laying down. She immediately took the opportunity to cuddle him and give him love. He started to seize and passed away in her arms within seconds. We will never forget our little big, one-of-a-kind, lamb! This one has hit us hard! The pictures is how we will choice to remember you!!

On a different note. The Huge Sale went well and were able to raise around $1,000. Thank you to everyone who came out to shop and support! We will have another in the near future. Check back next month

for another update with Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths.
