This is Samson checking in for Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths. Sorry that I haven’t been keeping you updated weekly it has been very busy around here. So for the next couple months I’m only going to update once a month.
We were able to get our second cutting up dry the end of July. We only brought in 350 bales. We have to purchase hay again this year because we don’t have half the hay we need for winter.
We had an amazing second Tees for Tails Golf Fundraiser. Thank you for everyone who came out and supported us! My pals and I wish we could have gone but because of the heat we were unable to go visit with everyone.
We got 2 new horses in named Glitter and Dugan. They are both thin and will be needing the extra feed to help us get them to a health weight. We will let you know when they are ready for adoption.
If you are on our mailing list, you should have received a letter from our facility director Jessica. Our wood fences are in bad shape! We are hoping to replace all our fences with electric braided rope fence. Please think about donating to help with our hay and fence cost.
Thank you for your help and check back next week to see what’s new with Straight from the Rescues’ Mouths. https://www.illinoishorserescue.org/
